Before the purchase

  • VIN is an abbreviation for Vehicle Identification Number – a unique set of 17 characters that car manufacturers assign individually to every single vehicle. You can find VIN on various parts of the vehicle or in the registration documents.

  • Usually just a few minutes. The service is available 24/7 and reports are being generated automatically.

  • We will provide you with information necessary to determine the actual condition of the vehicle: mileage, damage records, countries of previous registrations, records from databases of stolen vehicles and so much more. The exact list of information is subject to availability.

  • Credit cards and Paypal are accepted payment methods.

  • Unfortunately not. We give you hints to identify issues, but the report is not a legally binding document. Our advice: order carVertical connected report™ before actually signing the car purchase agreement. Save time and money.

While ordering

  • Start from entering VIN and pressing “Check car now” button. We will ask you to create your personal carVertical account, as this is the place where your report will be stored. Once done, you will get a list of package – please select the one that suits your needs best. Afterwards you will be able to proceed to the payment step. Not a rocket science, really.

  • Please double check the VIN. A common issue is mixing up “5” with “S” or “4” with “A”. VIN should consist of 17 characters – make sure you have not missed any of them. Do not worry about caps lock and lower case, as there is no difference, actually.

After the purchase

  • Sure. But before that, please double check your email inbox and your personal carVertical account. If the report is really missing, go ahead and verify your bank account statement. Has the appropriate amount been charged?

    If not, you should try making the payment once again. If yes, please get in touch with us by sending an email to Contact us.

  • It actually means that we did not find any damage records associated with the VIN you provided. Our extensive database includes more that 70 million damage records from multiple European countries, but your car is not listed there. The fact increases the possibility that this vehicle is truly accident-free.

  • Please get in touch with us by sending an email to Contact us. Do not forget to mention important details: VIN, reasons for refund and the email address associated with your carVertical account. We will get back to you within 2 working days.

  • No worries. You will be able to access your reports by logging into your personal carVertical account. Use the initial (wrong) email to log in.

    Nevertheless, we recommend you creating a new account for future purchases. Just to make sure you get reports both by email and on your personal carVertical account.

  • The report will be available for 30 days after the purchase. If you think you might need it later, feel free to print it or save it as a file.

  • Credits are valid for 1 year after the purchase. Simply log into your personal carVertical account and redeem your remaining reports.

    Please note that we issue invoices no later than 5th day of the upcoming month.

For Business

  • After you buy more than one report, all other reports appear in your account as a credit. You are free to use those credits as often as you like to generate additional reports for other vehicles. All the credits will be valid for 12 months so you don’t have to rush to use them.

  • After you select a desirable package and enter your credit card information, you will be asked to confirm your purchase. Immediately after confirmation, you will be redirected to the page where, with a single click of a button, you will have access to an invoice for the reports you’ve purchased.

  • By default, you will be able to view the report in your web browser. At the press of a button, you can also download your reports as PDFs. This way you can not only share a link to your report but also share it as a PDF document.
